My all time favorite movie as a kid has always been Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so much so that I would purposely ask my mother to buy me the big Hershey’s Chocolate Bars and pretend to open the wrapper slowly just like Charlie did before the discovered the golden ticket!
I almost wanted to recreate my childhood dream, when I was invited to CANDYTOPIA! This immersive 2 level, Candy-themed art pop up located at Santa Monica Place is a one-of-a-kind full sensory experience. I can’t tell you how excited I was to feel like a kid again, this unique environment had me jumping for joy at every turn! Every room had a candy grab ( Woo Free CAnddddyyyyy and I didn’t even have to dress up! ) and every room featured a few amazing art installation that was decorated with different assortment of candies! I can totally imagine the people sticking each candy pieces on the statues ( 1 for you…2 for me).
Each room provided sugary themes and selfie moments. Our favorite was def the confetti trolli room where the room was not only magical with unicorns and pigs flying but the spinning confetti wheel! Be careful not to stare or leave your mouth wide open because they WILL get everywhere!
Another favorite was the Marshmallow pit, where we happily jumped in and almost couldn’t get out!
All in all, I recommend gathering all your friends or family for a day where you can literally feel like a kid in a candy shop!
Tickets are $30 for adults and $23 for children age 4-12!
